Task: Making the course shorter, optimizing the pace of play, adjusting mowing lines and cutting heights, conducting a bunker inventory, and reviewing safety measures.
Masterplan
Here are some excerpts from the Masterplan:
- The club is seeking suggestions for a shorter course, preferably a loop measuring 4200-4300 meters. Where should the new tees be located in this case?
- The club aims for a faster-paced course while ensuring it remains appealing, interesting, and enjoyable for all categories of players.
- The club would like your input on how mowing lines and cutting heights can be optimized.
- Conduct a bunker inventory. Determine which bunkers should be retained, which can be reduced, and which are unnecessary and should be removed.
- Review safety aspects and time-saving measures, especially on holes 7, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 18.
Following my inspection, I have 120 detailed suggestions that will improve the overall experience for all categories of players. These suggestions include creating viewpoints, establishing new playing paths, enhancing safety, making holes more player-friendly for recreational golfers, increasing clarity, and making the course more interesting and enjoyable for everyone. There's also potential for improving playing surfaces in some areas by increasing light. Please see the attached proposals.
